The Deprivation Of Service
Natural affection elicits reciprocity; however, Paul asserts that he is indifferent to whether he is loved in return. His intention is to wholly relinquish himself, not solely for their benefit, but to facilitate their connection to God. "For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor." Paul's conception of service aligns precisely with that notion: he is indifferent to the extravagance with which he dedicates himself, and he does so willingly. It brought Paul great joy.
The ecclesiastical concept of a servant of God differs from that of Jesus Christ. His concept is that we serve Him by serving others. Jesus Christ surpasses the socialists in social advocacy. He asserts that in His Kingdom, the greatest shall serve all. The true measure of a saint lies not in proclaiming the gospel, but in performing humble acts, such as washing the feet of disciples—actions that may be undervalued by humanity yet hold immense significance in the eyes of God. Paul was pleased to dedicate himself to God's interests in others, regardless of the expense.
We approach with our financial considerations—“If God intends for me to go there, what will the salary be?” What is the status of the climate? How will I be cared for? A guy must contemplate these matters. All of this indicates that we are serving God with reservation. The Apostle Paul exhibited no reservation. Paul emphasizes that a New Testament saint, according to Jesus Christ's concept, is not only a proclaimer of the Gospel, but rather an individual who is transformed into broken bread and poured-out wine in the service of Jesus Christ for the benefit of others.
