Is He Truly Lord?
Acts 20:24
Joy signifies the complete realization of my intended purpose and renewal, rather than the mere accomplishment of a task. The delight of Our Lord resided in fulfilling the mission assigned by the Father, and He states, “As My Father has sent Me, so I am sending you.” “Have I been granted a ministry from the Lord?” If that is the case, I must remain devoted to it, valuing my life solely for the fulfillment of that ministry.
Consider the fulfillment of hearing Jesus proclaim, “Well done, good and faithful servant,” signifying that you have accomplished the tasks He entrusted to you. We must all identify our niche in life, which we discover spiritually when we get our ministry from the Lord. To do this, we must develop a relationship with Jesus, recognizing Him as more than only a personal Savior. “I will demonstrate to him the significant trials he must endure for My sake.”
“Do you love Me?” Subsequently, “Nourish My flock.” There exists no alternative to service, just unwavering fidelity to Our Lord's mandate; fidelity to what you perceive in your most intimate communion with God. If you have received a ministry from the Lord Jesus, you will understand that the need does not constitute the call; rather, the need presents an opportunity. The call signifies loyalty to the ministry you embraced throughout your genuine connection with Him. This does not suggest that a designated service campaign exists for you; nonetheless, it necessitates disregarding requests for service in other areas.
