Occasionally, individuals exhibit a reluctance to engage in superficial behavior, not solely driven by their profound religious commitment, but rather motivated by a desire to create a favorable impression on others by demonstrating their lack of shallowness. This phenomenon can be interpreted as a clear indication of an individual's spiritual pride. It is imperative to exercise caution, as this behavior has the potential to foster disdain for others within our personal experiences. This phenomenon leads to our embodiment of a living reproach to others, as they exhibit a shallower nature in comparison to our own. One should exercise caution when assuming the role of a someone with great depth and wisdom, as it is worth noting that God took on the form of an infant.
The absence of depth in one's character should not be equated with moral wrongdoing, and the presence of shallowness does not necessarily imply a complete lack of profound experiences or personal growth. It is important to acknowledge that even the vast ocean has a shoreline. The mundane aspects of human existence, including basic bodily functions such as eating and drinking, as well as common activities like walking and talking, are believed to be divinely predetermined by a higher power. These are all actions performed by our Lord. He performed these actions in his capacity as the Son of God, and he expressed the following statement: "A disciple is not superior to his teacher..." The individuals in question exhibit a profound level of seriousness, displaying an intense preoccupation with their own character and public image. Consequently, they demonstrate a reluctance to adhere to Christian principles when confronted with trivial matters in life.
It is imperative to adopt a discerning approach in regarding individuals with seriousness, reserving this attitude exclusively for God. One may discover that the individual who warrants the utmost scrutiny and is perceived as the most deceptive entity is none other than oneself.
